Eurostars GuarDNA

The GuarDNA project develops an innovative platform for safe and sustainable data storage, leveraging the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) biomolecules as a medium. The project aims to enable the storage of a large amount of data in an extremely compact, long-lasting and energy-efficient form.
The platform will combine advanced processes of DNA synthesis, processing of large amounts of data and security protocols, which will ensure safe, reliable and sustainable data archiving.

With our technology, we can solve the key challenges of rapidly growing data infrastructure needs, as it can reduce the energy consumption, environmental footprint and material needs of traditional energyintensive data centers. The project has broad economic and social significance, as it contributes to sustainable digitization and enables the long-term storage of critical information.

BioSistemika’s role:

BioSistemika is leading the development of the GuarDNA platform, including key systems for DNA synthesis and data conversion. It also oversees marketing, IP protection, partnerships, and validation to ensure the solution is market-ready and commercially viable.
