Version 1.2.5 release notes (release date: 2016-11-30)

New features

  • “Order PlatR Accessories” button has been added to the home screen. This button gives easy access to PlatR Accessories page where a user can directly order needed accessories.
  • A new dialog has been added for placing a new adhesive holder for microtiter plates. This dialog is shown at the pipetting start and disables accidental user interactions while positioning the holder.

Improvements

  • Minor positioning improvements for Samsung Galaxy Tab E.

 

Version 1.2.4 release notes (release date: 2016-07-21)

New features

  • If “Detailed Timestamps” option is checked in preferences, log file will contain the name of pipetted reagent/sample, next to the coordinate of well

Improvements

  • Exported plans will now contain a layer name next to the every well

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where PlatR sometimes crashed on update notification
  • Fixed a bug where PlatR sometimes crashed when exporting PDF
  • Japanese letters are now supported on QA information dialog and are exported correctly to PDF

 

Version 1.2.3 release notes (release date: 2016-07-08)

New features

  • Exporting plans (PDF) with Shift-JIS encoding (Japanese) now defaults to Japanese font (UTF-8 and similar still use the same fonts as before)
  • If a layer contains tags, additional page with tags is exported to PDF for every layer (the same plate as when holding “Hold to show tags” in editing mode)

Improvements

  • When importing, truncate reagents/samples names to 20 characters (meaning any characters above 20 will be cut)
  • User field was removed from every page from PDF export

Bug fixes

  • Undo button now properly reverts adding/deleting tags
  • In pipetting mode when the first coordinate of every layer is selected, logs are correctly written when clicking on back button (same coordinate does not repeat)
  • Before pipetting starts, any change of multichannel mode is now properly logged (nothing was logged before)
  • Wells are now properly spaced on Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Tab 4
  • Behaviour of timer was now unified. When timer is counting down, timer is reset to the default value and paused, if any other action is taken

  • Fixed a bug where reagents/samples in a table format could not be imported using .csv files

  • Fixed a bug where renamed reagents/samples in some cases reverted to the default naming
  • Fixed a bug where in some rare cases multiple timers could be running simultaneously

  • Added support for Bluetooth footswitch (for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4)
  • Volume down/up buttons on pipetting screen now decrease/increase volume for sound produced by pressing on footswitch. While using wired footswitch on SM-T530 tablet, sound is still muted due to technical restrictions.

  • Hold to show sequence button now correctly displays simple sample names.

  • Clicking on letter/number in the selected row/column on plan editing screen adds samples/reagents in different order depending on which side of the plate you pressed (if you pressed letter on the left side of the plate, samples/reagents will be added from left-to-right, if you pressed letter on the right side of the plate, samples/reagents will be added from right-to-left)
  • Options for importing reagents/samples on plan editing screen reworded
  • Undo button on plan editing screen now reverts the following actions: renaming of: layers, specific reagent/samples and reagent/sample prefix, switching between layers, any action done to the plate, adding of a new layer, deleting of a layer, changing layer type of a layer
  • Buttons for saving pipetting plan and exporting PDF merged into one “Save & Export” button
  • Dialog for selecting folder (pipetting plan and PDF export) is now shorter to preserve space
  • When in single pipetting mode, next button on pipetting screen now shows coordinates for the current well only once (e.g. “B1:Reagent 1” instead of “B1:Reagent 1 – B1:Reagent 1” )
  • Back button is now disabled in pipetting stage on Tab 2 (to avoid accidental presses)
  • Scrolling of list of wells on pipetting screen reworked: fast scroll bar is always visible, when selecting a well, it now snaps to the selected well
  • At the end of pipetting “End pipetting” dialog will appear
  • “More” button added: shows menu with more options
  • If you export through QA information dialog, QA information page will be exported to PDF as well
  • Return to plan option added in pipetting stage (you can access it by clicking on “More” button)

Bug fixes

  • PDF export now works when loading multiple files.
